1) Happiness Machine – It’s all about “spreading happiness”

 

This ad campaign attracted a big online buzz for coke. Not just cokes, but also did they dispense pizza, flowers and gifts. Some coke lovers were lucky to get it for free whereas others had to do their bit to earn it. The machine installed in a Singapore university demanded a hug whereas one in Belgium demanded a dance!

2) Olympics 2012

When people saw an arena of sports in London, coke saw an arena of advertising! This teen targeted campaign projected the theme of “world coming together” and was advertised as Move to the Beat. Renowned singer Katie B was roped in for the campaign .

A series of mobile apps under the name of Global Beat was also launched.

The rest is history ! 25 million video views, 2.5 lakh mentions in Facebook, 250 million search mpressions and 240 million impressions on social media

Coke was the second most talked about brand during Olympics!

3) Share a coke

Once a campaign, it turned a marketing mantra in the years to come. An 8% increase in sales, 2 crore social media impressions and web traffic increase by 900%!

The campaign offered personalised bottles with different choices for labelling, mainly enabled through Facebook app.

4) Recycling King

This campaign happened in Israel, where people were encouraged to recycle their coke cans. Coke created FB places for more than 10K recycle buns. Users clicked pictures there and shared across the media. It was not just targeted at but also goodwill promotion.

The most competent participant was awarded the Recycling Crown award.

5) The Ahh Effect

The Ahh effect campaign targeted teens through a series of digital games online. All these games promoted Coke products. It was promoted over sites like twitter and people were invited to create their own games.

6) Hello Happiness

To give labourers in the UAE a few extra minutes of happiness, Coca-Cola created the Hello Happiness Phone Booth — a special phone booth that accepts Coca-Cola bottle caps instead of coins for a free 3-minute international phone call, helping them connect with their families back home more often.
